Manoj Bajpayee, the versatile actor, keeps winning people over with his performance and solidifies his status in the industry. Bajpayee once again grabbed audience’s hearts with his most recent film, ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’, thanks to his riveting performance. He has appeared in several commercial films in addition to participating in critically regarded ones. But he didn’t sign some of the films for the money; rather, he did it for the opportunity to work with renowned director.
Manoj Bajpayee spoke in-depth about his recent releases and highlighted his pre-production efforts during a chat with a media portal. The actor was questioned about whether or not the public would ever see him in a “proper masaledar film”. When asked for examples, Bajpayee mentioned a few of his mainstream masala films right away which included ‘Bewafaa’ (2005), ‘Fareb’ (2005), ‘Satyameva Jayate’ (2018) and ‘Baaghi 2’ (2018).
He said, “Lekin kal ko aur aaengi, achi aaengi. Mujey ‘Tevar’ (2015) bahut hi… agar aap sach mai puche, ‘Tevar’ mujhe, ‘Bandaa’ ke pehle mujey kisi mainstream film ne bahut jyada mujhe fakr diya toh who ‘Tevar’ thi. Kisi ne nahi dekhi hai toh jaake dekhiye. Bahut hi badhiya film Amit Sharma ne banai thi ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018) ke pehle (But tomorrow more will come, that too good ones. If you genuinely ask me, a mainstream film before ‘Bandaa’ that has given me a lot more pride is, it’s ‘Tevar’. If anyone hasn’t seen it, go and watch it. It’s a fantastic film made by Amit Sharma before ‘Badhaai Ho’.”
