Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer ‘Gadar Ek Prem Katha’ (2001), directed by Anil Sharma, is iconic film which is loved by every section of audiences even in today’s time. Upon its release, the film shattered many records and proved to be historic blockbuster. Wrapped in the subject of India and Pakistan conflict, the main center of attention in the film was the love story of Tara Singh and Sakina played by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel respectively. Fans were waiting for it’s sequel which was announced long back by the makers, and after a long wait of twenty-two years, the makers are coming up with its sequel ‘Gadar 2’ which will see Sunny and Ameesha Patel reprising their role from the original.
Last month, the makers unveiled the first look poster of the film featuring Sunny Deol as Tara Singh and now on the occasion of Valentine Day, the makers unveiled a beautiful glimpse from the film which features Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in their roles from the film.
Talking about the sequel, it is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma, who is also directing the sequel. The film retains the original star cast of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in their original roles firm the first installment. The film is scheduled to release on August 11, 2023.
