The ‘Twilight’ (2008-2012) film series actress Kristen Stewart recently attended a press conference of the Berlin Film Festival 2023. While sharing her experience and feelings about being the jury president for the first time, she looked absolutely confident.
Stewart shared to the media that as it’s a very big achievement for her, she is a little bit nervous too, “Full transparency, I’m kind of shaking. I feel, not buckling under the weight, but I can’t wait who we all ahead at the end of this experience. I’m just ready to be changed by all the films and by all the people around us.”
Stewart also said that it was not her idea to come to Berlin and she never even imagined being in such a position, “I was shocked they called me. It is an enormous opportunity to highlight beautiful things at time when that is hard to hold.”
Beside Kristen Stewart, the Berlin Film Festival 2023 also includes jurors like actress Golshifteh Farahani, Romanian director Radu Jude, Spanish director Carla Simon, Hong Kong director Johnnie To, German director Valeska Grisebach and the US casting director and producer Francine Maisler. They will be judging twenty films, which took part at the Berlin’s official competition on February 25 and hand over the coveted Gold and Silver Bear trophies to the winners.
The list of the twenty films includes ‘20,000 Species Of Bees’, ‘Afire’, ‘Art College 1994’, ‘Bad Living’, ‘Blackberry’, ‘Disco Boy’, ‘Ingeborg Bachmann – Journey Into The Desert’, ‘Limbo’, ‘Manodrome’, ‘Music’, ‘On The Adament’, ‘One Day We’ll Tell Each Other Everything’, ‘Past Lives’, ‘School Town’, ‘Suzume’, ‘The Plough’, ‘The Shadowless Tower’, ‘The Survival Of Kindness’, ‘Till The End Of The Night’ and ‘TÓTEM’.
