The Hindi film industry is mourning the loss of eminent singer-composer KK. After his live performance at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata, he passed away. His post-mortem report tells that the cause of death is suffocation and lack of oxygen in his brain.
The concert was held in a closed auditorium where reportedly, none of the ACs were working. As per reports, the total capacity of the auditorium was 2500 whereas the people present were more than 6000. When KK spoke to his wife in the morning before the show, he mentioned that he has a pain in his stomach and head. With certain discomfort when he was performing it was obvious that the conditions of the auditorium deteriorated his health further.
In a video captured by an audience he is clearly uncomfortable with the condition and he is asking the organisers to turn on the AC. Also he can be seen sweating profusely.
Keeping in mind the heat waves running through the country and the extremely humid and hot weather conditions of Kolkata, dehydration is a common thing. But he could have been better taken care of.
There were many good hospitals near Nazrul Manch in Calcutta but he was taken to CMRI hospital which was an hour away from there. He passed away on the way to the hospital. All of these dots when joined together, we realize that this is a pure case of negligence.
