What a year it is turning out to be for Kartik Aaryan. Just a few weeks back he scored a Superhit in the form of ‘Luka Chuppi’ which came close to scoring Rs. 100 Cr at the box office. Now if that wasn’t enough, the romcom entertainer has set records on the satellite circuits as well. The film has seen a huge premiere for itself on the small screen too, as evidenced from the impressions that it has fetched in the first viewing itself.
In fact what is all the more remarkable is the fact that Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Luka Chuppi’ has opened better than even Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Simmba’ and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri – The Surgical Strike’ on the small screen, hence reaffirming the rising star status of the actor.
The entertainer has managed the best start ever for a film’s satellite premiere in 2019, what with the viewership turning out to be just behind ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘2.0’ (Hindi) and leaving behind likes of ‘PadMan’, ‘Raid’ and ‘Race 3’ in the satellite arena. Now that’s huge because these films have superstars who have been reigning for over 25 years each.
On the contrary, Kartik is a rather young entrant in the industry and while he has graduated from being a ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ boy, his latest biggies like ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (which entered the 100 Crore Club) and now ‘Luka Chuppi’ (which scored close to 95 crores at the box office) have made him a dependable name. With more and more audience base recognising him for the kind of entertainment quotient that he guarantees with his films, there are huge eyeballs been fetched on the small screen as well.
As is the saying, a star’s true barometer of success is how big he scored on the satellite and digital arena, and with ‘Luka Chuppi’ super success, Kartik Aaryan has further reaffirmed that he has truly arrived.
