Kartik Aaryan, one of the most popular actors in Bollywood, has carved a niche for himself by making films that appeal to audiences of all ages. Today, the actor has completed twelve years in the film industry. On May 20, 2011, his debut film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ was released and this Luv Ranjan directorial gave the young actor a golden opportunity to exhibit his talent. The film did well at the box office and Kartik stole the show with his wonderful performance.
Though Kartik is very popular today, his journey has been quite challenging. His subsequent films like Luv Ranjan’s love drama ‘Akaash Vani’ (2013) and Subhash Ghai directorial ‘Kaanchi: The Unbreakable’ (2014), failed to make an impression. But soon, the actor tasted success with the second installment of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ in 2015. The actor established himself as a rising star with ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018), which was a box-office success and entered the 100 Crore club. He then never looked back, delivering back-to-back hits such as ‘Luka Chuppi’ (2019), which grossed Rs. 95 Crore and ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ (2019), which grossed Rs. 97 Crore.
Kartik has developed a devoted fan base of viewers who eagerly await the release of his films because he caters to an audience that is primarily made up of youngsters and young adults. Dynamics have changed since the pandemic and many high-profile films failed to make an impact. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ (2022) was one of the few films to find theatrical success, which proves that Kartik is a rising star. Besides, he also impressed people with the unconventional film ‘Freddy’ (2022), which was released digitally and in which Kartik delivered an excellent performance. His choices have been sensible, and almost all of his films have been able to make an impact with a sizable portion of the audience.
His most recent film, ‘Shehzada’ (2023), didn’t do well at the box office, although his performance was appreciated. After ‘Shehzada’, he is preparing for the release of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, which co-stars Kiara Advani and is directed by Sameer Vidwans. It is all set to release in cinemas on June 29, 2022. The actor’s upcoming films also include ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and collaborations with directors like Kabir Khan and Hansal Mehta.
