One of the biggest production companies in India, Dharma Productions Pvt. Ltd., has completed forty two years in the industry today. It was established by Yash Johar in 1980. After his death, the company has been taken over by his son, Karan Johar in 2004. Based in Mumbai, Dharma Productions mainly produces and distributes Hindi films in the industry.
Today, Karan Johar shared a video, comprising short clips of few celebrated films in Bollywood, which were produced by Dharma Productions such as ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001), ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘Wake Up Sid’ (2009), ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010), ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (2010), ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013), ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014), ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ (2014), ‘Raazi’ (2018), ‘Kalank’ (2019) and lots more.
Karan seemed quite nostalgic with the occasion and felt eternally grateful, as he penned a heartwarming note on social media. He has also thanked the audiences for being a part of this journey while writing, “Today marks another year of the beautiful family, nurtured by my father – Dharma Productions! Over the years, we’ve told stories with the hope to spread the magic of cinema across the world.”
