Yash Raj Films has always been known for pulling off the biggest castings in their event films. Recently, we saw Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in ‘Pathaan’ (2023), with Salman making an important cameo in the film. We also saw how efficiently the production house brought along two stars, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, in the action thriller ‘War’ (2019).
Now, the latest buzz in town is that Aditya Chopra, who established for Spy Universe with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012) has some big plans to take the universe forward and aims to make each part bigger than the previous ones.
Yesterday, it was announced that the sequel to ‘War’ will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji, with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. There is another story doing the rounds on the internet related to the said film.
As per reports, the makers of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War 2’ have roped in Jr. NTR to play one of the lead protagonists in the film. The film also marks the Hindi debut of ‘RRR’ (2022) star.
While Hrithik Roshan will essay the role of Kabir in the sequel, the character of Jr. NTR is yet to be disclosed by the makers.
‘War 2’ will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, who previously helmed Disney’s Indian mythological superhero film ‘Brahmāstra: Part One: Shiva’ (2022) starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
Jr. NTR is currently shooting his thirtieth film, known by the working title ‘NTR 30’, which Koratala Siva is directing, while Hrithik Roshan is currently busy with Siddharth Anand-directorial ‘Fighter’. Once both the actors complete shooting for their respective films, they will begin shooting for ‘War 2’.
