Yash Raj productions ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is directed by Divyang Thakkar starring Ranveer Singh, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shalini Pandey, Jiya Vaidya. After ’83’, Ranveer is all set to release this social issue-based drama. He will be seen in another versatile look, extremely different from the ones played by him earlier.
Set in a misogynistic village where the panchayat head played by Boman Irani is expecting a grandson from Ranveer and his wife, the story is a satire on the society’s outlook towards women and girl child in general. The trailer begins with the panchayat declaring a ban on soaps used by females because the fragrance tends to arouse men when a teenager raises the issue of banning alcohol.
The movie deals with female infanticide and tries to project a moral lesson through the characters. Shalini Pandey, who gets a few moments of the trailer runtime, seems to have done a great job. The movie is slated to release on the 13th of May this year.
