With just one reality show, Nibedita Pal, has managed to win a huge fan following with her charm and the way she has conducted herself on the show. The model and reality show contestant, who was conferred with the title of Miss India Australia in 2015, aspires to portray strong characters as an actress in the times to come. In this interview, she talks about being a part of the popular reality show ‘MTV Splitsvilla X’, travelling all the way from Australia to India to make a mark in the entertainment industry, ex-fellow contestant Priyank Sharma’s conduct in ‘Bigg Boss Season 11’ and plans for the future.
How was your experience of being a part of ‘MTV Splitsvilla X’?
Being a part of ‘MTV Splitsvilla X’ turned out to be a life-changing experience for me. It was the first reality show I was a part of. When I signed the show, I did not know what I was getting into but I really enjoyed myself. I made a lot of friends and came back with some lovely memories. I went through a lot of difficult experiences as well. I strongly feel you grow as a person after being a part of such reality shows which put you to test as a person in different ways.
‘MTV Splitsvilla X’ is about finding love and making connections. There are times when you could find yourself in situations which could make you vulnerable. How did you deal with such situations?
There were moments when I was emotionally unstable. In a reality show like ‘MTV Splitsvilla’, when things get difficult at times, you look for emotional support. You look for someone whom you can trust and rely on. If you are on your own, you get depressed and get into a negative zone. Things were not stable in the house but I had friends whom I could talk to and share my feeling with. There was always somebody or the other whom I could share my problems with. Divya and Priyank had a connection but Priyank and I were found to be an ideal match. Finding your ideal match was the main theme of this season. That resulted in a lot of conflict. But overall, Priyank and I stuck together and did our best to move forward in the game.
