Director Siddharth Anand gave Shah Rukh Khan a much needed comeback with ‘Pathaan’ (2023). The maverick film-maker is presently shooting for Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer aerial action thriller ‘Fighter’.
The eagerly anticipated action movie is currently in the shooting stage and according to the reports, Siddharth Anand wants to leave no stone unturned to make ‘Fighter’ a true blue action spectacle.
During a chat programme, actor and stunt-in-charge of the film Parvez Shaikh talked about the movie’s stunts and live-action scenes and emphasized that the director had instructed them that the stunts for ‘Fighter’ should be at par with or even better than those in ‘Pathaan’.
Sharing the further details about the action sequences for Hrithik Roshan starrer, Parvez Shaikh said, “When we shot for the action of ‘Fighter’, there was a lot of sunlight. In that kind of sunlight, we did a lot of action like fire and blast involving choppers, helicopters, fighter planes, and more. This is what we did in SRPF Grounds in Jogeshwari. A very big set was put up. Siddharth sir’s thoughts are on another level after ‘Bang Bang’ (2014) and ‘War’ (2019). Siddharth sir wants to make ‘Fighter’ on a bigger level than ‘Pathaan’.”
‘Fighter’ marks the third collaboration of Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. Recently, the team started shooting for another major schedule for the film in Mumbai which is expected to end by mid-June.
‘Fighter’, bankrolled by Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures and Viacom18 Studios, is a mega budget actioner scheduled to release on January 25, 2024, coinciding with the release date of Siddharth’s last release ‘Pathaan’, which was released on January 25, 2023.
Followed by completion of ‘Fighter’, Anand will move to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s much-hyped spy universe film ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’ which is expected to go on floors from February next year.
