Michelle Rodriguez, the lead female star in one of the most popular action film series, ‘Fast And Furious’ (2001), recently attended the San Diego Comic-Con 2022 to promote her latest film, ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’, which will be releasing on March 3, 2023.
While promoting the film, Rodriguez also opened up about her another upcoming venture, ‘Fast X’, the next franchise of ‘Fast And Furious’ and shared, “Our special effects team, all of the guys who are doing the fights, they are all French. Our second AD is French. Our director is French. It’s like the French takeover, dude.”
After the exit of director, Justin Lin from ‘Fast X’ because of some mutual disagreement with the lead actor, Vin Diesel, the upcoming installment will now be directed by Louis Leterrier, who is known for ‘Now You See Me’ (2013) franchise.
During the promotion, Michelle also talked about Louis Leterrier and praised him in her speech saying, “He is so dope, man! He came with all this energy of love. We have not had that in ‘Fast And Furious’ for a very long time where we get somebody excited who is a real fan and who really wants to take it places that it has not gone before. We have been at it for 20 years, bro. After all that time, you get jaded and kind of forget what you do it for [until] a director like Louis comes in and reminds you, this is beautiful. Let’s go make magic. We are so lucky to have him bro.”
Apart from Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, ‘Fast X’ also stars Tyrese Gibson, Jason Momoa, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Ludacris, Cardi B and Scott Eastwood and is all set to release May 13, 2023.
