Here’s a heartbreaking news for DC fans. Our favourite Henry Cavill will not return as Superman anymore. Although there were several news roaming around of his return in the new franchise, now it’s been confirmed by renowned script writer and director James Gunn on Twitter that there is a DC slate ready to go and among those movies on the slate, one involves the character of Superman.
Gunn further shared that the new story will mostly focus on early parts of Superman’s life and hence, the character will not be played by Henry Cavill. According to various US sources, Gunn has also talked about his meeting with Cavill along with co-writer Peter Safran and said, “I just had a great meeting with Henry and we’re big fans, and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
Henry Cavill has also posted about the meeting on his social media and shared his thoughts about this new Superman and their discussions and confirmed that he will not be returning as Superman.
The news has absolutely devastated the huge fan following as they expressed their feelings in the comments. Several of them said that Henry will remain their favourite Supeman.
