One can say that Global Star Ram Charan has not only lived up to his legacy and reputation but also beyond, to the point that his achievements and reach have set a benchmark for other actors.
In last year, several films from the southern industry proved their mettle at the box-office in India and overseas. ‘RRR’ (2022), ‘Ponniyin Selvan -1’ (2022), ‘Vikram’, (2022) ‘Kantara’ (2022), etc., with their astounding success, intriguing stories and technical brilliance, became national phenomena.
However, there is one film from last year, which came and captured the imagination of the entire country like never before. ‘RRR’ (2022), helmed by S S Rajamouli, created ripples across India and abroad and went on to earn over Rs 1206 Crore at the box-office.
The film ‘RRR’ propelled Ram Charan to national and global stardom. Ram began his film career in with director Puri Jagannadh’s action drama ‘Chirutha’ (2007). In over sixteen years, Ram has worked in some of the most successful films in Telugu. He also made his Hindi debut with ‘Zanjeer’ (2013).
After numerous awards and films that went on to rake in astronomical figures, Ram is perceived as one of the most bankable stars in the Indian Cinema. The actor has some of the most intriguing projects lined-up for 2024. Ram Charan will be seen in the lead role in director Shankar Shanmugham’s Telugu debut film, ‘Game Changer’. The political thriller film, made on a whopping budget of Rs 200 Crore, will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malyalam. The film also stars Kiara Advani and S J Suryah.
Ram Charan is also in talks with director Buchi Babu Sana for a mega budget film.
