Guneet Monga has been in the news off late as her short documentary, ‘The Elephant Whispers’ (2022), has been nominated for the Best Documentary Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards 2023 and has received all the accolades and praises from critics and viewers alike.
And now, Guneet is all set to team up with director Umesh Bisht once again after their last release, ‘Pagglait’ (2021), which starred Sanya Malhotra in the lead. Gurmeet’s production house, Sikhya Entertainment will produce the untitled film, while Umesh will direct.
Talking about working with Umesh once again, Guneet Monga said, “Umesh is a fantastic storyteller who has a deep understanding of human emotions, and this is his biggest USP in filmmaking. This is the reason why the extraordinary story of ‘Pagglait’ has garnered so many praises and captured the hearts of all the people.”
