Countdown begins! Only nine days are left to witness Vicky Kaushal in a comedy character for the first time ever in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. After making quite an impact on audiences with their striking on-screen jodi in ‘Lust Stories’ (2018), Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani are back together. This time, Bhumi Pedenkar has also joined to make it thrice as entertaining.
Vicky has already impressed us in thriller, action, romantic and patriotic genres. Comedy was only left behind and now he has come up to fulfill the task of proving his versatility and no doubt, after watching the trailer of ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, we surely can say that Kaushal is going to strike us again.
Although Kiara and Bhumi have worked in several comedy genres before individually in films like ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ (2017), ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ (2019), ‘Good Newzz’ (2019) and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ (2022), this is also their first time working together in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ and their screen presences are already making us want to watch more.
As ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is a comedy genre, typically it has got three peppy tracks in it. After capturing audiences’ mind with “Bijli” and “Bana Sharabi”, the makers have finally dropped the third song “Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0” today. The song is the remake of Harrdy Sandhu and B Praak’s Indie pop single “Kya Baat Ay”, released in 2018.
The Punjabi song “Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0” is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and also sung by Harrdy Sandhu and Nikhita Gandhi. The song has been dropped by Sony Music India and has already garnered more than two million views within few hours on YouTube.
In the track Kiara is seen freeing Vicky as he is chained while dancing in seductive moves. The duo is seen changing their attires three time in the whole song while twinning the colours. They wear glittering silver costumes at first and then in black and at last in white. In the end Vicky leaves Kiara chained the same way like he was before. This is the first time Vicky is seen dancing in a peppy track and matching his steps with addictive beats. It’s evident that Vicky and Kiara are making a super-hot jodi together in each songs.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions, starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pedenkar and Kiara Advani in the leads, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ will be released on December 16, 2022.
