The Hero No. 1 of Bollywood turned a year older last Tuesday. He rose to prominence in the ’80s with his amazing dance moves, innumerable blockbusters and perfect comic timings.
On this occasion, many friends and family sent him good wishes and posted pictures with him on social media. Vinay Anand, who is his nephew, took to Instagram to wish him on his birthday. Shilpa Shetty shared a video in which she was seen dancing with Govinda and wrote “A very Happy Birthday, @govinda_herono1. Itnikhushi…se aap dance karte ho keuthkenaachna compulsory ho jaatahai! May you always have a reason to smile, dance, and be happy.”
Shatrughan Sinha posted a picture with him on Twitter wishing him. Karishma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit also took to Instagram to share a throwback photo with Govinda and wrote a heartfelt message.

In his three-decade-long career, he had done more than 165 Bollywood films. On an Instagram live on his birthday, Chi Chi (as he is lovingly called) revealed that he had even penned the lyrics of many songs but was shy to take any credit for it. He was live with RJ Adaa and Ranveer Singh showered love on him during that session.
The actor has also made a YouTube channel to connect with his fans. On his birthday he announced that many videos made at his fans’ request are yet to be uploaded on the channel.
