Ever since the movie ‘Freddy’ was announced last year, the makers had successfully kept us in a nutshell. This year, the more the makers divulged new glimpses, the more it made us curious. Previously we only knew that ‘Freddy’ is a different kind of story that we have never seen before. Today the teaser has literally stunned us.
The teaser shows Kartik Aaryan in a never-before-seen avatar. The makers hint very smartly that the actor, known for playing light-hearted roles, is playing a serial killer in ‘Freddy’. Till now we have watched Kartik as a romantic boy, who get a happy ending. This time we will get to see how romance can take you to a whole new level.
The teaser gave some sneak-peaks to what extent one can go for love or to take out his vengeance. As per the promo, Kartik plays a dentist, Dr. Freddy Ginwala, who is getting constantly haunted by his traumatic past. Kartik is seen as a very shy, introverted, socially awkward person, who loves to play with his toy planes. The only close thing to him is his pet turtle named, Hardy.
‘Freddy’ also stars Alaya F, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ in 2020. In the film ‘Freddy’, Alaya plays the role of Kainaaz, who is married and her husband is violent and abusive. But after she met Freddy, she falls in love with him. Later Freddy makes a weird plan to get Kainaaz rid of her abusive husband and that leads to a whole level of chaos mixed with emotions that makes their life upside down.
There’s no doubt that Kartik Aaryan looks absolutely promising in this new avatar. The teaser is already so gripping and netizens are wondering that the film is going to keep them glued till the end.
Kartik shared the teaser on his Instagram and informed us that the booking of appointment for Dr. Freddy is opening on December 2, 2022 and we all are invited to witness the rollercoaster of emotions in Freddy’s world.
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the makers have also announced that ‘Freddy’ is going to have an OTT release, on Disney+ Hotstar on December 2. So, gear up fans, make up your minds. This time the terror is real!
