Freddy Daruwala who became a household name with Vipul Shah’s ‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, will be sharing the screen space with John Abraham in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Force 2’.
A source says, “Freddy liked his role narrated to him and instantly agreed to be part of the action thriller. The actor will be presented in a different way on screen.”
“Freddy is glad to have got the opportunity to share the screen space with John in ‘Force 2’ as he’s quite inspired by the fitness icon,” the source adds. Without revealing much detail, Freddy says, “Yes, I’m doing Force 2 but it’s too early to comment on my role.” Interestingly, Freddy and his mentor-friend John have many similarities. Not only do both of them are Parsi, they are avid bikers, fitness enthusiasts and started out as models. The duo bonded over their roots and became good friends during the shooting of the action flick.
Talking about ‘Force 2’, Freddy says, “The sequel takes off exactly where the first film ended but the premise has changed drastically.”
The actor is also part of another popular sequel, ‘Commando 2’ in which he plays the antagonist but confirms that his character is a lot more complex than the quintessential villain. “Even though I tend to feature in action films a lot, I’d love to be a part of comedy-dramas like Andaaz Apna Apna or Hera Pheri,” he reveals.
Freddy will also be seen as a suave lawyer in ‘Mia – Ek Umeed’, a drug drama which marks the directorial debut of Rajat Mukherjee.
