Bengali actress Ritabhari Chakraborty is making all the noise in the industry for her upcoming film ‘Fatafati’ and how she left no stone unturned to step into the character. The actress recently had a fun, unapologetic, unfiltered shoot with some body positive influencers who are proud of who they are and won’t allow an opinion to crush them down.
Sharing moments of the fearless shoot, the actress captioned her social media post as, “Fashion maane roga kimba mota na – Fashion maane nijeke sundor kore sajano (Fashion is not about being skinny or fat. Fashion is all about presenting yourself beautifully).” ‘Fatafati’ is coming on May 12 but before that let me introduce you to these Ms. And Mrs. Fatafatis, who are winning in life without questioning their body.
I had a blast shooting with influencers, actors who are reminded constantly they are not good enough due to their shape or size and they have chosen to believe in themselves instead of succumbing to the trash talk. These women inspire me – ‘Fatafati’ is their story – my story – YOUR – story!”
Ritabhari’s real and unfiltered approach to body positivity with real faces who have walked the path and can connect to the struggles ‘Fatafati’ has to share is what the internet can’t stop buzzing about. In the shoot, we can see the actress celebrating all body shapes, stretch marks, skin colour, natural pigmentation and more. A picture in the carousel also screams how no opinion should make you feel little about yourself or reduce your value at the smallest percentage. Ritabhari also reminds each one of us on how Fatafati is a universal story and will resonate with every viewer as they would’ve come across it.
‘Fatafati’ is directed by Aritra Mukherjee. She will be sharing the screen space opposite Abir Chatterjee for the first time, and popular TV actress Swastika Dutta in a pivotal role. The story and screenplay is by Zinia Sen and dialogues are penned by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay while the film is produced by Windows.
‘Fatafati’ is Ritabhari’s second film with Windows after ‘Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti’ (2020). The film is all set to release on May 12, 2023.
