Twenty five years ago, it wasn’t easy to break into Bollywood as a choreographer but Farah Khan was something else to not only be able to make it but establish herself as the most sought after in her profession from there on.
Her debut with ‘Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar’ in 1992, won her accolades and a string of over a hundred songs in over eighty movies followed.
Her directorial debut, ‘Main Hoon Na’ in 2004 starring close friend Shah Rukh Khan, was a monstrous success. She raised the bar by churning out films like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and ‘Happy New Year’ which went on to do great business at the box office and also positioned her as the most commercially successful female filmmaker of all time. All this, while continuing to be a supermom to her triplets, judging reality shows and slaying interviews with her sense of humor.
Farah says, “I’m so fortunate to be able to do what I love for the last twenty five years. The constant love and support from the industry and my fans has been overwhelming.”
