Bruce Willis, who rose to fame after the release of ‘Die Hard’ (1988), turned 67 years old yesterday, on March 19. Born in West Germany, Willis began his career playing dramas in Off-Broadway theatre in the ‘70s. He caught people’s attention from the comedy series ‘Moonlightning’ (1985-1989).
Willis’ portrayal of John McClane in the ‘Die Hard’ film franchise (1988-2013) made him one of the top stars in Hollywood as an action hero. After that he has given several notable action movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’ (1994), ‘The Fifth Element’ (1997), ‘Armageddon’ (1998), ‘The Sixth Sense’ (1999), ‘Surrogates’ (2009), ‘Red’ (2010) among others.
Apart from acting, Bruce Willis also pursued his career as a singer. He made his debut with ‘The Return Of Bruce’ album in 1987, followed by two more albums like ‘If It Don’t Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger’ in 1989 and ‘Classic Bruce Willis’ in 1999.
Willis has achieved numerous accolades such as Golden Globe Award, Primetime Emmy Award, People’s Choice Award, etc.
