‘Gadar 2’, the sequel of one of the most iconic films of all time, was finally released on August 11 and unbelievably it has garnered so much love and appreciation that even the whole cast and crew are amazed. The film has already collected over Rs. 200 crores at the box office, that too within a week.
Although the news of the sequel of ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ (2001) created much anticipation and excitement last year, the amount of love and support the film is receiving is very surprising. Hence the makers hosted a grand success party a few days back. Sunny Deol was seen breaking into a dance with sheer excitement.
Sunny Deol mostly appears on-screen very rarely, although before ‘Gadar 2’, he was last seen in R Balki’s ‘Chup: Revenge Of The Artist’ (2022). This time with ‘Gadar 2′, he made an exceptional comeback. Not only Deol, but Ameesha Patel also returned to the big screen as well.
Therefore, after such a big success, we caught Ameesha Patel’s gripping interview on ‘The Sunny G Show’ recently, where she shared a lot of behind-the-scenes trivia. Ameesha spilled the beans to the host Subhojit Ghosh that during the shooting of ‘Gadar 2′, she fell sick and Sunny Deol appeared as a saviour.
Ameesha shared, “He (Sunny Deol) is a real, real gentleman and a very protective and lovely person to work with. Back in December, when we were shooting the film in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, it was freezing cold. Food over there did not suit me at all and after five days of shooting, I started vomiting severely. I kept vomiting the whole night and I was very unwell.”
“Later in the morning, as soon Sunny learnt that I was unwell, he visited me with his blood pressure machine. Even though the local doctors came and wanted to give me injections, Sunny called my doctor in Mumbai and checked if the medicines prescribed to me are okay or whether I am allergic to anything. He made sure that I was fine. He’s a real gentleman and my real-life Tara Singh”, Ameesha further continued.
Subhojit asked her about how does she feel now after experiencing the epitome of success in the very beginning and later her career’s graph went up and down throughout these years. Ameesha shared that her career did not start gradually; it just went straight up with her first film and as a result, audiences’ expectations grew higher and higher. Later when her other movies did not work, she realised that it’s not possible to deliver a blockbuster like ‘Gadar’ every time. Hence, she concluded that she had to be accustomed to the ups and downs.
