Kangana Ranaut, Divya Dutta, Arjun Rampal starrer ‘Dhaakad’ is a hardcore action film full of emotional twists and turns. The storyline does not support the stupendous action sequences. The plot development is slow and it is bound to bother the audience. Director Razneesh Ghai could not connect the storyline in certain places and hence the movie looks dull.

Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal deliver fantastic performances. In certain places, however, the director failed to create the impact he intended to.

The film involves an international agent, Agni, played by Kangana, who is tasked with solving a local scam. Arjun Rampal plays international human and arms trafficker Rudraveer who is an undisputed coal mafia. His eyes showcase his cruelty. Full of guns and bloodshed, the movie gives an adrenaline rush at instances.

Agni had a traumatic childhood past that keeps appearing in front of her eyes. We see the emotional side of Agni and how she finds the link that connects her to Rudraveer. The end of the film is indeed unexpected and came as a shocker.

The flashback sequence repeats itself too many times and hence the movie is not as gripping as it could have been. It is full of thrill and female-led action which is something different and is a good reason to watch the film.
