Amidst the pandemic in Bangladesh, World Music Day was celebrated a little differently this year. Deep In Dhaka organized a Facebook Live concert on 21 June, 2020 and it featured a long list of local and international DJs. The event started at 10am and went upto 6am the next morning with 18 DJs playing back to back.
Local DJs from Bangladesh included AKS, Tanmoy, Sonica, Xayana and Tawsif made sure to entertain the audience. International DJs such as Spin D, Luisly, Mauro Garcia, Paul Luna, Otzy, Maarta, Niphilium, EMR, TIBI, Tomico, Miracle, Deelco and Victor Auna from Berlin, New York, Colombia, Dubai, Brazil, Germany, England, Argentina, also participated.
Deep In Dhaka was developed to bridge the gap between international electronic music and Bangladeshi local electronic music scene including various styles of Electronic genres including Deep, Tech and Afro House music. It is a platform to help electronic artists to exchange ideas, produce, collaborate, perform and express themselves. Every act is also accompanied by subliminal visuals to add to the complete experience.
