Yes, that character played by Courteney Cox has turned 58 years old today, June 15. Ever since she rose to fame with ‘Friends’, Courteney Cox hasn’t had to look back and given numerous notable works later, which made her one of the A-list stars in Hollywood.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Courteney is the fourth and youngest child of her parents, along with two other older sisters and a brother. Cox begun her career by working at a video game publisher, Bethesda Softworks briefly in the ‘80s. Later, she got introduced and chosen to cast in renowned singer, Bruce Springsteen’s music video “Dancing In The Dark” by director, Brian De Palma in 1984. She was only 20 years old at that time and since then she entered in the entertainment industry.
Cox got her first break through a TV show in NCB’s sci-fi fantasy ‘Misfits Of Science’ in 1985 as Gloria Dinallo and as guest appearance in ABC’s comedy drama ‘The Love Boat’ in 1986. After that, she has worked in several renowned projects in the side roles like ‘Family Ties’ (1987-1989), ‘Masters Of The Universe’ (1987), ‘Cacoon: The Return’ (1988), ‘Mr. Destiny’ (1990), ‘The Trouble With Larry’ (1993), among others.
In 1994, she was first asked to give an audition for Rachel Green character for the ‘Friends’ sitcom, but later she got chosen for Monica Geller and Rachel Green was played by Jennifer Aniston instead and the series became as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time now. Even according to the Guinness Book Of World Records in 2005, Cox became the highest paid TV actress of all time with $1 million per-episode fee for the final two seasons of the series.
Apart from these, Courteney’s other projects, which are also quite notable such as ‘Ace Venture: Pet Detective’ (1994), ‘Scream’ (1996-2022) film series, ‘Dirt’ (2007-2008) and many more.
Courteney Cox was recently gathered with her friends for life and co-stars, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Mathew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc in the ‘Friends: The Reunion‘ (2021) show and her last film ‘Scream’ fifth part released this year.
