After a long six years of relationship with model and fitness trainer Sam Asghari and ending her conservatorship with her father, pop icon Britney Spears finally got married last year in June. The news created much hype as Spears’ legal battle of conservatorship and her life struggles touched her fans’ hearts. Back then, social media was filled with support slogans for Britney Spears. Even her marriage with Sam Asghari was quite exciting for her fans.
Yesterday, a shocking news came out that Sam Asghari has filed a divorce. Sam shared a statement on Instagram which read, “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Shit happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”
Spears and Asghari tied the knot on June 9, 2022 at her residence in Thousand Oaks, California. The extravaganza ceremony was attended by Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Madonna and many other A-list stars.
A few sources revealed that the fourteen months of marriage was filled with physical abuse on Asghari and several unsettling accusations. Their relationship was full of heated arguments. Some even required security intervention. One source shared that earlier this year, during one unfortunate fight, Britney literally punched Sam in the eyes and assaulted him badly while he was asleep. Sam has shared his pictures of physical violence to police.
