Sanjay Kapoor lives with his wife and children on the 6th floor of Hiralaya Apartment in Mumbai that was sealed by BMC after his wife tested positive for coronavirus. Everyone else who had come in contact with the couple was sent for the RTPCR test and their report is still awaited. BMC declared the apartment in a containment zone on Tuesday after his wife Maheep Kapoor tested positive.
BMC officials wearing PPE kits with masks and gloves sanitised the entire house. Their daughter Shanaya Kapoor has also tested positive. Shanaya took to her Instagram handle and shared the news of being Covid positive. She wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I’m feeling ok and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days ago however while testing again as a precaution the results came positive.I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested. Stay safe everyone!”
It is said that it happened after a party at filmmaker Karan Johar’s residence. Maheep Kapoor came in contact with people at three other locations where she went to a party and all of them will be tested too. Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora have also been tested positive. A total of 40 people underwent the test so far including Karan Johar’s mother HirooJohar.
KJo tested negative but the reports of others are awaited. Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan and son Yohan Khan have contracted the virus and are quarantined.
