‘Black Widow’ will soon be releasing on India’s streaming OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Weeks after Scarlett Johansson filed a case against Walt Disney over its streaming release of ‘Black Widow’ on Disney, the movie has been announced to release on Disney+ Hotstar Premium on September 3rd. It will be available in all six languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The movie ran into a controversy after its star Johansson sued Walt Disney Co. over its streaming release, which she said it breached her contract and deprived her of potential earnings. Based on the only female superhero in the old guard of the Avengers, the film is directed by Cate Shortland. Since the character, Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow is now deceased after her sacrifice in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019), this film is set in the past. Specifically, it is set after the events of 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’ in which she finds herself on the run from the law thanks to her aid to Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes.
Disney+ Hotstar tweeted about its release on September 3rd, exciting all the viewers.
Black Widow's had many looks through the ages, yet #ScarlettJohansson never ages. ❤️😍
