Since 2020, after the Covid-19 pandemic occur, many films have postponed their releases in theatres and started releasing on various OTT platforms. But in 2021, after the second wave of this pandemic started decreasing, theatres have opened and films are still releasing and for that few films have earned huge success at the box office.
Recently, a new variant of Covid-19, Omicron has showed up and according to few reports it’s rising rapidly all over the world. Scientists and WHO (World Health Organization) are expecting this variant could arise third wave in India now.
Amidst this pandemic, the makers of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ have decided to postponed the film’s release for now. It was supposed to release on this December 31. The makers issued a statement saying,
“In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!!”
