Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s upcoming film ‘Dream Girl 2’ has been delayed once again and will now release in theatres on August 25, 2023. The film’s substantial VFX work requirement is cited as the cause of the delay. As Ayushmann Khurrana essays the roles of Pooja and Karam in the sequel, the VFX work is reportedly essential. As a result, the makers don’t want to compromise on any aspect and that they want to make sure he looks natural and believable in both the characters.
Ektaa R Kapoor, Joint managing director of Balaji Telefilms Limited, said in a statement, “We want Ayushmann Khurrana’s character to look perfect as Pooja in ‘Dream Girl 2’, which is why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to make sure that our viewers have the best experience possible when they watch the film. The VFX work for ‘Dream Girl 2’ is an important component of the film, and we want to make sure that our audiences get a high-quality product.”
Ayushmann Khurrana shared the new release date of the sequel in his Twitter handle and captioned, “Pachees badi hai mast mast, Kyunki @Pooja_DreamGirl aa rahi hai on 25 अगस्त. #PoojaKiKissOnAug25 #DreamGirl2 releasing in theatres on 25th August, 2023.”
