Arshad Warsi who is known for his brilliant comic roles, is all set for shooting the new season of ‘Asur 2’. Season one was a huge hit and Warsi is super excited for filming the next one.
Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti played the lead roles in the psychological thriller. ‘Asur’ was Arshad’s first OTT debut web series. It was released in Voot Select and got highly popular. It is directed by Oni Sen and produced by Tanveer Bookwala.
Warsi is more recognized through his comic roles in ‘Munna Bhai: MBBS’ (2003) where he played our very own ‘Circuit’, ‘Hulchul’ (2004) and obviously the ‘Golmaal’ film franchise (2006-2017). His intense character in Asur was a huge risk for him but was definitely worth trying and now he is immensely praised for his role as an investigator. The new season presents the combo old cast which includes Ridhi Dogra, Anupriya Goenka and Sharib Hashmi, along with some new faces.
Our ‘Circuit’ says that he is really overwhelmed for his new season and also admitted that ‘Asur’ is one of the best things that happened to his career.
As the first season was a huge hit, now there’s always a feeling of pressure and nervousness for the second season. Yet he also mentions that, this pressure is the kind which keeps one motivated and deliver their best on-screen.
