Sanjay Dutt is one of Bollywood’s most talented performers, who has delivered a number of standout performances in films including ‘Sadak’ (1991) ,‘Khalnayak’ (1993), Vaastav: The Reality’ (1999) , ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ (2003) and many others. However, difficulties and scandals have also been a part of his personal life.
Despite the ups and downs, Dutt has maintained his prominence in the Indian film business thanks to his endurance and love for acting.
In a recent interview, his close friend and director Apoorva Lakhia discussed his commitment to his work and recalls Sanjay Dutt’s dedication to finishing his project in 2013 before going back to jail. He said, “Sanju sir is excellent. He hadn’t finished the dubbing for ‘Zanjeer’ (2013) and he was due in jail the following day. He called me the day before he was scheduled to be picked up by the police and apologized profusely for not having completed his dubbing. He came over that night and assisted me with the dubbing.”
Apoorva Lakhia further said, “I went to his house, he cleared the bar area and I took my technician. Sanjay Dutt dubbed the entire film over the phone as he was scheduled to report to jail at 1 pm. That is the dedication.”
