Director Anurag Kashyap, along with lead actors Alaya F and Karan Mehta brought the house down at Mithibai College’s annual fest, Kshitij. The crowd witnessed the trailer and the romantic track “Banjara” from the upcoming romance saga ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohobbat’.
The whole team engaged in a small game with the audience that lifted up the spirit of love and resonated with the theme of the movie.
The fun event was a grand success with Anurag Kashyap, Alaya F and Karan Mehta indulging in a cool banter with a live audience of over five thousand young students. Alaya and Karan chose three couples from the crowd and asked them to enact a proposal on stage. The impromptu camaraderie was evident on stage as audiences witnessed them dancing to the title track for the first time. Interestingly, going back to college times, Anurag also spoke about how Vada Pav was his staple diet.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’s story is about contemporary take on modern-day relationships with much appeal to the youth. Considering Anurag and composer Amit Trivedi’s successful music collaborations in previous films including ‘Dev.D’ (2009) and ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2018), the vibe set by the film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’s tracks are nothing short of electric.
Karan Mehta, who marks his debut with ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’, was presented at Marrakech’s Jemaa El Fna Square last year. The film was screened along with other spectacular films by stalwarts like Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Schrader and James Gray.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ is touted to be Anurag Kashyap’s ode to modern love and is slated to release on February 3, 2023.
