At the age of 86, Bilquis Malik the mother of music composers Anu Malik, Abu Malik and Daboo Malik passed away on July 25th. She was buried at the Santa Cruz Kabrastan. His son, Abu Malik, confirmed the news and mentioned that she passed away peacefully.
Bilquis was admitted to the Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu, after she suffered a stroke. She was the wife of late composer Sardar Malik and sister of poet and lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri. Her grandchildren, music composers Amaal Malik and Armaan Malik posted on Instagram to mourn the tragic demise of their “dadijaan”. Their post really shows that how close they were with their grandmother and they are absolutely crushed after her demise.
We all are equally sad about her demise and we hope the Malik family will recover from such a tragic event soon.
