Despite being released on limited screens, ‘Uunchai’ garnered lot of love and acclaim from both critics and audiences. The film was released on November 11, 2022 and now after almost eight weeks, the makers have dropped the film on ZEE5.
‘Uunchai’, interestingly, is still running strong in cinemas. Looking at the reviews and collections, it is surely a rare film that managed to pull audiences to cinemas, post pandemic. Without having any chartbuster songs, villains or typical mass entertainment, the film managed to work and it left the star cast – Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Parineeti Chopra and the makers amazed.
