Though Amit Sadh is just a few films old in the industry, the actor has proved his mettle as an actor over the last six to seven years he has been working in films. The actor, who rose to fame fifteen years ago on Neena Gupta’s television show ‘Kyun Hota Hai Pyaar’ as a young college student, has mostly been seen playing characters that are warm and affable. He has experimented with a variety of roles but the image of the boy-next-door is always associated with him. Yes, his character in ‘Kai Po Che’ was coerced into doing terrible things and he did play a thief in ‘Guddu Rangeela’, but he has not been seen in an out and out dark avatar.
Well, that seems to have changed with the inclusion of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’ in his filmography. In the film, the actor will be seen Subhash Nagre’s grandson Shivaji, who carries a lot of angst and aggression within him. The promos make it clear that Amit enters into the dark zone the franchise is set in and portrays a character that one has not seen him in either films or television. While his intensity has come across effective in the trailers, the equation he shares with the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Yami Gautam in the film has grabbed attention too.
2017 is all set to be an eventful year for Amit as he has multiple films (‘Yaara’, ‘Saat Kadam’, ‘Raag Desh’, a romantic comedy co-starring Evelyn Sharma) slated for release. He will also be seen in a finite series by Amazon which is being directed by Mayank Sharma.
