Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor seem to not just get enough of each other. The duo have been ‘in love’ for quite some time now and their bond and camaraderie shows both on and off the camera.
Ranbir entered the industry a lot earlier than Alia. Since then itself, Alia has gone on record to say that she has been a huge fan and admirer of Ranbir and has had a crush on him as well.
Little did she know that one day later in the future, she would see herself dating her long time crush and little did she imagine the talks would escalate even to the discussion of marriage.
Alia recently went ahead to let the cat out about another interesting story revolving Ranbir and Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. In a conversation with India Today.
Alia said;
“The idea for ‘Brahmastra’ was conceived long back when Ayan (Mukerji, director) had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him.”
To throw more light on the matter and how her experience has been so far on working with her boyfriend Ranbir, she said:
“With Ranbir, it is a completely different experience because I have always admired him. He is my favourite actor since he made his debut. He will always remain my favourite because he is so honest and effortless. When I set out to work with him, I was thinking that I will understand his process of acting, but there’s no process. He is like me, he acts in front of the camera, and suddenly off camera, he is seen eating chocolates, or chatting, wanting to know what is the gossip of the day. He is very hard working, so effortless and that is the beauty.”
‘Brahmastra’ isn’t just an anticipated movie because it brings Alia and Ranbir together for the first time on-screen but it also marks Ranbir coming back with Ayan Mukerji after a long hiatus.
Personally as well, both Alia and Ranbir have been tasting the flavour of success off late. While Ranbir’s performance in his last flick, ‘Sanju’ was praised to the core, Alia too has had top notch success with ‘Gully Boy’. Her multistarrer, ‘Kalank’ too is working at a steady pace at the box office. So with all this compiling together, we can surely expect a fascinating experience when ‘Brahmastra’ rings in.
Here’s wishing good luck to the trio of Ranbir-Alia-Ayan for ‘Brahmastra’ and on a personal level what we would like to tell Ranbir and Alia is ‘Jodi Salamat Rahe’ (Long live your relationship)!
