Ali Fazal, who has not only amazed us in Bollywood, but also in big budget Hollywood films like ‘Furious 7’ (2015), ‘Victoria & Abdul’ (2017), ‘Death On The Nile’ (2022) and in the upcoming action-thriller ‘Kandahar’, has now again been roped into an upcoming Hollywood project ‘Afghan Dreamers’. Seems like the film will be a huge achievement for Fazal as ‘Afghan Dreamers’ will be directed by two-time Oscar winner, Bill Guttentag.
He has just finished shooting for his first ever lead role in Hollywood, ‘Kandahar’, alongside Gerard Butler, which is all set to release in 2023. As per the information available, Ali Fazal will again portray one of the leads in ‘Afghan Dreamers’.
‘Afghan Dreamers’ is based on a true story of a program that was started by Afghan tech entrepreneur, Roya Mahboob, in 2017 as a way to help young women develop their skills in the field of science and technology, despite a heavily patriarchal society.
After this news got revealed, Fazal shared his excitement with the media. He said, “Excited and humbled to be sharing notes and being directed by Bill who has an impeccable body of work. ‘Afghan Dreamers’ is a very important story to be told and I’m happy to be part of its cinematic retelling.”
