Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia has died on Wednesday due to illness. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital where she was admitted in ICU, where her health was deteriorating for the past few days. Akshay Kumar was in the UK filming a new project and returned to Mumbai earlier this week to be with his mother.
The actor grieved over his mother’s death on Twitter. “My maa peacefully left his world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world,” wrote Akshay Kumar.
Later, he had shared an update on his mother and urged his fans to pray for her in an emotional note. He wrote, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough time for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”
