Aanand L Rai has been one of the very few directors who have had the pleasure of working with Akshay Kumar back-to-back in two projects. After ‘Atrangi Re’ (2021), the two celebs shot for ‘Raksha Bandhan’ together. They wrapped up the shoot for the Mumbai schedule of the film recently, and Akshay took to social media to pen down a sweet thank you note for Aanand L Rai and the team.
Talking of Aanand L Rai and the rest of the team, Akshay Kumar wrote lovingly that he was going to miss the shooting process. He went ahead to call Aanand L Rai a wizard.

Aanand L Rai also reverted in his funny way to Akshay Kumar’s message by saying that he was also leaving the sets a better man. Aanand went ahead to call himself a man who cherished to derive the truth from a make-belief story with ‘Raksha Bandhan’. He thanked Akshay for his dedication and affection towards the craft of storytelling.

Aanand L Rai’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is said to be a story about a brother’s love for his sisters. The film was announced on Raksha Bandhan in 2020, and Akshay Kumar dedicated the movie to his sister, Alka Bhatia.
