The crime-comedy film ‘Masti’ (2004), began the trend of adult comedies in Bollywood. The film, which had an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Amrita Rao and Tara Sharma, performed well at the box office and was also well received by the audiences.
The film holds a special place in Aftab’s career, and on its nineteenth anniversary, the actor shared a post on his Twitter handle with the caption, “19 years to this madness. So much fun. Part 4 maybe?”

‘Masti’ directed by Indra Kumar was jointly written by Milap Zaveri and Tushar Hiranandani. The film has a cult following among audiences, and the filmmakers capitalized on this by releasing sequels titled ‘Grand Masti’ (2013) and ‘Great Grand Masti’ (2016). While the second installment was a box office success, the third installment was a flop.
