Recently Khatija Rahman, daughter of Oscar-winning singer A R Rahman, has been making headlines on the internet. She has come on board to make her big debut with the upcoming Tamil film ‘Minmini’ as music composer.
The big news was revealed by director Halitha Shameen on Twitter. She shared a picture with Khatija from the studio and wrote, “So happy to be working with this exceptional talent, Khatija Rahman for #MinMini. The euphonious singer is a brilliant music composer too. Some great music underway!”

Last year as well, Khatija made rounds on the internet when she got married to audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed in May. The music maestro revealed the news while sharing a family picture from the wedding ceremony on his social media handle.
According to reports, Halitha Shameen started working on ‘Minmini’ in 2016. As the film involves children in primary roles, she periodically shot scenes capturing children as they grew older over the years. After six years, she restarted shooting for the film in 2022. ‘Minmini’ stars Gaurav Kalai, Pravin Kishore and Esther Anil of ‘Drishyam’ fame in lead roles.
The release date of ‘Minmini’ has not been revealed yet. So let’s see what magic Khatija Rahman creates with her debut.
