Today, August 27 marked the culmination of 5 years of a list of popular songs from the Sidharth Malhotra-starred, ‘A Gentleman’ (2017). The dynamic pair Sachin-Jigar reflected on all the striking songs they have composed. The songs on the list include “Disco – Disco”, “Baat Ban Jaaye”, “Chandralekha”, “Laagi Na Choote” and “Bandook Meri Laila”.
Overall, the movie has some good music and actually turns better as one moves from one song to the next. With the touch of modern, contemporary music, all the songs have been received positively. Regardless of whether a movie is a hit or a failure, the composer duo, Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya claimed that music keeps a movie alive. Going down memory lane, the duo shares their views on the entire album.
“Because the film is set in Miami, the music has a modern feel to it. Apart from retraining a homegrown element to our lyrics and melodies, the music had to have an urban and contemporary feel to it. It was a difficult task because this was a new brand of the Sachin-Jigar brand, but after receiving a positive response, we are very satisfied”, Sachin-Jigar shared.
After dropping back-to-back chartbusters, Sachin-Jigar has recently composed music for films like ‘Shiddat’ (2021), ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ (2021), ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ (2021) and ‘Dasvi’ (2022). Now they has got several other upcoming projects in the pipeline such as songs for ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ and ‘Bhediya’.
