Rihanna is no stranger to fashion campaigns but her latest might be her most memorable yet. The pregnant singer is the star of Pharrell Williams’ first campaign as creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear.
The campaign image, which was shared on Instagram by both Rihanna and Pharrell, shows the singer wearing a black leather jacket with a checked motif, carrying a coffee in one hand and an armful of colourful Louis Vuitton bags in the other. Rihanna’s baby bump is prominently displayed.
The campaign is a collaboration between Rihanna and LVMH, the luxury goods conglomerate that owns Louis Vuitton. Rihanna has a long-standing relationship with LVMH. Pharrell is also a longtime collaborator of LVMH and he has worked with the company on a number of projects, including the launch of his own clothing line.
The campaign is a sign of things to come for Pharrell’s tenure at Louis Vuitton and a strong start for Pharrell’s tenure at the brand.
