Kriti Sanon has proven her acting skills in films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2017) and ‘Mimi’ (2021), but recently her characters were unfortunately reduced to not so meaningful ones. Before the release of ‘Adipurush’, we look at her last two characters.
Anika in Bhediya
Anika is largely relegated to the background in ‘Bhediya’ (2022). Although she is crucial to the plot, her role is underdeveloped and does not give her enough opportunity to shine. She is often sidelined and her contributions are minimized.
This is a missed opportunity. Anika could have been a strong female character who challenges stereotypes and inspires other women. However, she is instead reduced to a supporting role that does not do her justice.
Samara in Shehzada
Kriti Sanon plays the role of Samara in ‘Shehzada’ (2023). She is the love interest of the protagonist, played by Kartik Aaryan. Samara is a strong and independent woman who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is also a very talented singer and dancer.
Kriti Sanon has said that she enjoyed playing the role of Samara because it was a departure from the serious roles she has played in the past. Furthermore, she wanted to do a role that was fun and lighthearted and Samara was the perfect role for her.
