Chris Hemsworth essayed Tyler Rake, a former SASR operative turned black ops mercenary in ‘Extraction’ (2020). When Rake is at his lowest point, he is given a second chance when he is recruited to retrieve the stolen son of an imprisoned international crime boss. The no-nonsense action movie directed by Sam Hargrave was a huge hit for Netflix, quickly escalating the viewership graphs and becoming the most-watched original film in Netflix history at the time.
The sequel will pick up with Tyler Rake, who was assumed dead at the end of the first film. It follows the modern-day warrior as he undertakes another high-risk mission, breaking into an impenetrable jail to save the family of a vicious Georgian criminal.
