Netflix is returning with another genre-defining drama series, after enthralling viewers with shows like ‘Khakee’ (2022), ‘Trial By Fire’ (2023) and the recently released ‘Toothpari’ (2023).
‘Scoop’, a new series directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta will premiere on June 2 on Netflix. The engrossing thriller is based on Jigna Vora’s book, Behind Bars In Byculla: My Days In Prison and is produced by Matchbox Shots.
On social media, Mehta shared the teaser of ‘Scoop’ and also announced its release date by saying, “Proud to share that #Scoop a series that @mrunmayeelagoo, @MatchboxShots, @NetflixIndia and I have been nurturing for nearly 3 years streams from June 2, 2023.”

The first season, created by Hansal Mehta is fronted by Karishma Tanna, who is essaying crime journalist Jagruti Pathak. Her character is charged with the murder of a colleague journalist while pursuing a career-defining story and later she finds herself caught between the powerful nexus of the police, the underworld and the media.
The crime drama shows also stars Harman Baweja, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayuub and Prosenjit Chatterjee.
