The tenth and second-last installment of the ‘Fast And Furious’ franchise, one of the most popular action franchises, is slated to release in theatres next month, on May 19. The makers had already revealed that the eleventh and final installment of the series is in the works. Today, it was revealed that they have selected Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel, writers of DC’s upcoming ‘The Flash’, to pen the script for the concluding film. The statement, however, did not delight supporters, who immediately started trolling this decision on Twitter.
Louis Leterrier, who directed the film ‘Fast X’, which will release on May 19, will assist the writers. Uziel scripted ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ (2018) and ‘Mortal Kombat’ (2021) while Hodson is recognized for her work on ‘Bumblebee’ (2018) and the upcoming Ezra Miller-starrer ‘The Flash’.
The netizens reacted sharply to this development and said that the writers will now possibly incorporate bizarre and unrealistic plot points in the eleventh part of ‘Fast And Furious’.
“Mars… HERE WE COME,” said a user reacting to the news on his Twitter account.
“I can’t wait to see what new and groundbreaking plot points they come up with this time around. Driving to fricking Mars?” said another user, trolling the announcement made by the makers.
