Just few hours after Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming Amazon Prime spy series ‘Citadel’s press tour in India came to a close on Wednesday, news broke in Los Angeles about the multi-faceted talent and iconic actor’s next big collaboration with Amazon Studios’ ‘Heads Of State’. It also stars John Cena and Idris Elba.
While plot details are still under wraps, buzz is that ‘Heads Of State’, directed by Ilya Naishuller, will be “Air Force One meets Midnight Run”. The film rolls in May just days after ‘Citadel’ begins streaming on April 28 on Prime Video.
Chopra, who has over seventy international and Hollywood films and two series on her resume continues to be one of the most sought after South Asian talent in Hollywood today. Her rise is no fluke and she has worked very hard to break barriers and make a place for herself in Hollywood. Her massive global audience also makes her a wise choice for Hollywood studios and producers today.
Coming up, she will be seen in ‘Love Again’, releasing on May 12. Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures, that is under a first-look film and TV deal with Amazon Studios, is developing a limited series based on Tanya Selvaratnam’s memoir, Assume Nothing: A Story Of Intimate Violence, which led to New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s downfall. She has also collaborated with Paramount Global to create original content focused on telling diverse stories that normalises all cultures across the globe.
